Boxspring can be translated as innerspring box and basically describes the structure of the base. The base is not a slatted frame as usual, but a spring-loaded base. A wooden box, i.e. the box, surrounds the mattress equipped with bonell springs, which is often built up in several layers. As a finishing touch, the topper lies on top.
